My parents were involved in a horrific train/car accident on December 29th, hospitalizing my dad, and taking my beautiful mother away from us. My dad was in the hospital until the 1st. He has broken ribs, spinal bones, and a separated shoulder. He and my mom were together since 7th grade— she was his entire world. My family is navigating through the grieving process and we never expected something like this could happen. We’re all in a lot of pain and next steps are very unknown. My father, fiancé, and I all have strong faith, but my sister does not. I ask that you please, first of all, pray for us as we grieve through the loss of my mother. She was going to get baptized soon, and loved Jesus. I know she’s in His arms. Pray that my sister would soften her heart and come to know the Lord. Second of all, I ask that you pray for healing for my father. Physically and emotionally. He’s in many varieties of pain and is being told many lies from the enemy (e.g. “you can’t do this alone,” “you’re not gonna make it through this,” “it should’ve been you.”) Please pray peace over him. Lastly, please pray for us (mainly him) financially. He has been out of work for 2 years due to previous injuries. A week before the accident, he was finally cleared to go back to work after his surgery. He was on workmen’s comp, and now has no insurance. He has a mortgage to pay, now needs a new vehicle, etc. Thank you for the prayers— please pray heavily. And please, reach back out if you are willing to continue support throughout this journey.
