Next year, we’re excited to continue our partnership with M4, Pastor Luiz, and Story Church in Glasgow, Scotland. Despite Glasgow’s religious history and its large number of church buildings, it remains largely unreached by the gospel. The majority of churches have closed, and it is referred to now as the desert of churches. But the Lord is working, and he is pouring out His Spirit on the dry land. This church plant is led by Luiz and Dani Cordoso, a Brazilian couple who were called by God to move to Scotland to plant churches in one of the most resistant areas of Europe. Glasgow Story Church is connected with M4 Europe, one of our global partners, a church planting organization that equips leaders to plant and multiply churches across the continent. Together, they are passionate about seeing nations serving nations and raising up the next generation for the glory of God. Our time in Glasgow will be highly relational and focused on community outreach and service. One of the ways Glasgow Story Church connects with people is through their coffee shop, Glasgow Story Coffee. This shop is a beacon of light in a low-income neighborhood and serves as a gathering place and a unique bridge to the community. We will have the opportunity to help in the shop, host community outreach events there, and help serve when they open their shop up weekly as a food pantry for struggling families. The team will also partner with the leaders of the community outreach center, meeting practical needs and going into the neighborhoods, building trust, loving on people and sharing the gospel. There will also be opportunities to love on the kiddos and we will potentially help run a sports camp that the local government has requested Story Church replicate, after a very successful outreach that greatly impacted the next generation! Another aspect of this trip will be caring for the Glasgow Story Church team. As a small but faithful group carrying the weight of pioneering ministry, we hope to bless them with prayer, encouragement, and relational investment. This trip is perfect for those who value relationship, encouragement, and stepping into new spaces with a heart to serve, led by the Holy Spirit.
