Colorado lawmakers have introduced SB26-097, titled “Decriminalize Adult Commercial Sexual Activity.” The bill would legalize the buying and selling of sex, including brothels, across Colorado. While supporters argue it would increase safety, many advocates and survivors warn that expanding demand can increase exploitation and trafficking. What vulnerable women and communities often need most is protection and pathways out, not expansion of the industry.
