Jesus is at work in this Kairos moment, not only within the four walls of the church, but across our city and in the lives of people searching for hope, truth, and a place to belong. As we have prayed and discerned together, we have grown increasingly convinced that this is not a moment to simply sustain what already exists, but to prepare for what God is still yet to do.
In 2 Kings 4, a widow comes to Elisha with a small jar of oil and a desperate need. Before the miracle came an invitation: gather empty vessels. Make room. Prepare in faith. The oil continued to flow as long as there was capacity to receive it. We believe God is moving among us, and He is inviting us to do the same, to make room with faith-filled expectancy for what He wants to do next.
The Increase Initiative is a two-year spiritual and ministry initiative centered on making room for more of what God is doing. It is rooted in our theme verse for the year – 2 Kings 4:3.
It includes three primary priorities:
More than a building project, this is a Kingdom investment in discipleship, the next generation, healthy leaders, holistic transformation, outreach, missions, and the environments that support those ministries.
At the center of everything is a desire for more of Jesus and His transformative presence. We want to be a church shaped by prayer, worship, listening, and responding to the Lord. Everything else flows from being with Him.
Out of that presence, we want to form deeply rooted disciples anchored in Scripture and living on everyday mission; invest in the next generation, helping young people encounter God and step into His calling; pursue lasting and holistic transformation, walking with people toward healing and renewed purpose; and develop healthy, commissioned leaders who lead with integrity, humility, courage, and wisdom. Alongside all of it, we sense a clear call to create capacity, remove unnecessary barriers, and prepare space so more people can encounter Jesus, experience authentic community, and step into His purposes for their lives.
We believe God is calling Mountain Springs to grow both deeper and wider, strengthening what He has already entrusted to us while preparing to extend into new places. Over the next two years, Lord willing, we intend to refresh our Adventure Way campus and key ministry spaces, retire the debt on our south property, and prepare a team to launch a second Mountain Springs campus. Over the past few years we have experienced significant growth, and we are now running four weekend services. This growth is a gift from the Lord, but it also carries a responsibility. We want to steward people well, not simply gather them. These are practical steps, but they are rooted in something deeply spiritual: obedience. We want to say yes to Jesus before we see the full provision, to prepare the vessels before the oil begins to flow. Buildings and campuses are not the mission, but they are tools for the mission because people matter to God. We want to steward them well so more people can encounter Jesus, experience His presence, and be formed into His likeness.
To accomplish this, we are moving forward with a One Fund approach. Rather than separating giving among individual projects and ministries, every gift fuels the whole mission of Mountain Springs: our weekend gatherings, discipleship, kids and students, care and outreach, the Family Restoration Center, global missions, our staff and facilities, and the new capacity we believe God is calling us to create. This allows us to steward resources with greater wisdom and unity, rather than having some areas over-resourced while other important ministry needs remain under-resourced simply because of how funds were designated. Over the next two years, we believe the Lord is leading us to steward $23 million through the One Fund. This includes the regular giving that already fuels the ministry of Mountain Springs as well as the increased generosity needed for the priorities ahead. Every dollar helps make room for more: more people reached, more lives restored, and more of what Jesus is doing in this moment.
Our invitation is simple: pray, believe, and respond. Pray intentionally about what God is doing and what your part might be. Ask Him to fill you with fresh faith and align your heart with His. Then respond in obedience to whatever He places before you.
Our prayer is for 100% participation, not equal giving, but equal surrender. We want to be a people who live ready, open, and expectant. The limit in 2 Kings 4 was never the oil; it was the number of vessels prepared to receive it. So together, we are choosing to believe with great faith, prepare with greater intentionality, and make room for more.
As part of Increase: Believe & Prepare, we’re exploring ways to refresh our Adventure Way campus, expand capacity, and create spaces that better serve our growing church family. This conceptual rendering offers a glimpse of what could be possible as we make room for more people to encounter Jesus, find community, and experience transformed lives.
Increase is a two-year initiative about making room for what we believe God is doing in and through Mountain Springs. It includes caring for our growing church family, investing in Adventure Way, strengthening our financial foundation, and preparing for what God may have next. Some details are settled; others are still developing. We’ll keep this page updated as plans become clearer.
Mountain Springs has experienced significant growth over the past few years. We’re now holding four weekend services, and our parking, gathering spaces, staff, volunteers, and ministry environments are feeling the strain of limited capacity. We don’t simply want to gather more people; we want to steward God’s people well. The story of 2 Kings 4 gives us a helpful picture: room was prepared before the greater provision was visible. We want to do the same with faith, wisdom, and careful planning.
No. Buildings are just the tool; transformed lives are our goal! Increase is about making room for people to encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, find community, develop as kingdom leaders, and live on mission. Facilities are part of that, but Increase also supports the ongoing ministry and mission of Mountain Springs.
Success is about much more than dollars raised, construction completed, or attendance growth realized. We want to see children and young people discipled, people forging community, leaders being developed, ministries strengthened, and more people encountering Jesus and living on mission.
The current vision includes renovating key ministry areas, increasing worship and community capacity, improving children’s spaces, widening hallways, strengthening security, addressing parking, and relocating church offices. The exact scope and sequence will be finalized as design and pricing are completed.
